Love coming to the prairie creek inn for dinner. But I will say, I miss the vibe that it used to have. We walked into dinner with modern country music playing, but miss the peaceful calming music while eating. That's why we like going out there, there's nothing like the prior creek inn, just miss the atmosphere that it used to have.

I’m not sure how to explain this place, but anyone that’s values cleanliness and service needs to come to this hidden gem. It is my 20th wedding anniversary and we chose to stick close to home. I’m so glad we did. This place is tranquil and beautiful and has recharged our batteries. I am one to panic about the cleanliness of a hotel, and this place is immaculate. The first tell is the ceiling fan and I would eat off them. The restaurant is unbelievable and the food and staff are next level. If you need a breathe of fresh air, a break, and just want to reconnect with yourself or a loved one, come here. This place is amazing.

The Prairie Inn is genuinely a hidden gem. I had a great time here and was honestly surprised by how nice the room was. It was huge and had everything you could want, a large bed, couch, table, fireplace, desk, TV, a big soaking tub, and a separate shower. I was very happy with the bathroom setup. I also really liked that they use Rocky Mountain House products in the shower, which was a nice touch. The host at the front desk was very friendly and informative, which made check in extremely smooth and welcoming. One thing to note if you are coming from a big city is that this is rural Alberta, so the water is soft water. It can feel a bit slimy if you are not used to it, but that is normal. The only real issue with the water is the smell. It had a very strong rotten egg scent, which was unpleasant. I do wish they would look into addressing that because it does impact the experience. I would also strongly discourage ordering the breakfast in bed option. This was by far the worse breakfast I ever had (not joking). The eggs were extremely overcooked to the point that there were crispy flakes on them. It was surprisingly disappointing, especially compared to the amazing dinner we had at the restaurant the night before. The breakfast was easily the worst part of our stay and felt very overpriced for what you got. For two plates, two drinks, and a side of bacon, the total came to $80. They also messed up our order and did not include the bacon that was supposed to come on the plates, and instead gave it to us as a separate side that we had paid for. It was frustrating, especially given the price. Look at the photos attached and make your judgment for $80. Other than the breakfast and the water smell, the overall stay was excellent. I really enjoyed the property and would absolutely come back!! The room and service alone make it worth it.

Rooms are very clean, bed and pillows were older and tired. But the staff are ask very friendly and helpful, the grounds are wonderful and well taken care of. Has shouts along a creek running through the property to and out or other fire pits that are free to use

This is a Beautiful Inn, Amazing Staff, Unbelievable Food, the rooms are set up so you have a great deal of Privacy and Peace. A Beautiful Trout Creek runs around the edge of the property and the Fishing is Good. The only Negative thing about our stay was the last night, the boiler quit so no hot water for the evening. The Host came around to apologize and let us know, the plumber was call and on the way. Other that that it was an Awesome Stay. We will definitely be back.
